Vasco Lé

Between cacophonies of violent feedback and ghostly silence, Vasco Lé’s compositions inhabit unstable electroacoustic systems. Bootleg gestures, spiraling rhythms: pattern, timbre and tonality undergo volatile mutations, giving rise to seemingly autonomous sonic organisms.
At 160 BPM, freneticrhythmic permutations collide with folkloric ballads and long-form poems in the performance Com Fúria Caem as Lágrimas da Manhã. Released on Porto’s PERF label, My Tears Feel So Eerie assembles youtube sampling, dadaist vocal collages and full-blast drum machines, presented live as a trio.
A new body of electric guitar improvisations weaves together delicate manipulations of self-sustaining feedback and intimate fragments of songs.
Across these shapeshifting forms, precision and ferocity conspire, carving intricate shards from unruly structures that continually fold back into themselves.
