Amuleto Apotropaico

Amuleto Apotropaico is an experimental electronic project by Porto-based musician António Feiteira. Combining a background in free jazz and collective improvisation as a drummer with the capabilities of digital music, Feiteira’s sound is characterized by full-spectrum elastic polyrhythms, lush elegiac synthesis, and brooding bass.Following the 2025 self-titled release on Porto’s PERF label, Amuleto Apotropaico now shifts his instrument-based music into fully electronic arrangements of concrète percussion, operating within a system designed to emulate his own improvisational drumming language. Muscle memory is replaced by stochastic digital precision in pointillist percussion arrangements, dissolving ever-modulating atmospheres of hyper-inorganic voices.
